Notes made in Spain by the La Fàbrica de Moneda y Timbre

Can you distinguish a Euro banknote manufactured in Spain?

Every country in the euro zone that makes euro banknotes -all less Luxembourg- is assigned a letter that precedes the numbering of the euro banknotes it produces (the V in the Spanish case).
However, the existence of this letter is not determinant to know the central bank that has put into circulation a particular ticket, especially from 2003, since the production has begun to be carried out in a decentralized "pool" regime and each bank In the future, the national central office will be responsible for the production of only 1 or 2 denominations that will then be distributed among the other central banks.

The redistribution of "stocks" for logistic reasons and the flow of banknotes throughout the euro zone into the hands of tourists make the letter even less significant, since banknotes can be put into circulation or "recirculated" by the twelve central banks regardless of the country in which they were originally produced.
